AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Brooks Koepka will no doubt hear the same murmured joke no matter where he goes in the coming days and weeks. If only the Masters was 54 holes.Like those tournaments on the Saudi-back LIV Golf circuit. If that was the case, Koepka would’ve been wearing a green jacket on the 18th green at Augusta National, rather than making the dejected march from there to the locker room. He had a four-shot lead over Jon Rahm when they resumed third rounds that had been halted by weather, and a two-shot lead when the round finished, before shooting 3-over 75 in his final round.Rahm closed with a 69 to finish at 12 under. By the time Koepka slid a birdie putt past on his 72nd hole, he was left at 8 under and tied for second with LIV Golf compatriot Phil Mickelson, whose finishing 65 had sent him shooting up the leaderboard. The previous three times Koepka had a 54-hole lead in a major, he went on to win.“Obviously it’s super disappointing, right? So I need to change my schedule up going forward to be a little sharper during (Masters) week.”The 2015 Masters champion said he got “lazy...Man killed in officer-involved shooting near Plantation hotel; family seeks answers from police

They apparently have to do it in dramatic fashion. Not only did the B’s set the record for most wins in a season with their 63rd in a 5-3 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers, they rode David Pastrnak’s hat trick that gave the sniper his 58th, 59th and 60th goals of the season to get there.“It’s very special. It’s been a lot of fun, I’m not gonig to lie. And it’s been really enjoyable with the group we have here,” Pastrnak told reporters in Philly. “We knew what was at stake and it was very special to hit it with a game like this. We made history today in the biggest league in hockey, so we defintely appreciate it.”While the B’s leap-frogged the 1995-96 Red Wings and 2018-19 Lightning for the record, Pastrnak became the first Bruin since Phil Esposito in 1974-75 to hit the 60-goal plateau. Hundreds of demonstrators marched down Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood Sunday to show their support for the transgender community. The “Drag March” event kicked off with a rally at West Hollywood Park where organizers spoke out against anti-LGBTQ+ legislation seen across the country. More than 450 pieces of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation have been either introduced or passed in 2023, according to the American Civil Liberties Union. Drag performances have also been outlawed in some states, most notably Tennessee. Some activists at Sunday’s rally said legislation targeting the transgender community is an attack on the movement for equality. “I think people should be aware of these drag bans, what’s going on, because it’s a small chip away at civil rights,” a rally-goer identified only as Danny told KTLA. “Our rights are being chipped away and soon it’s going to be your rights that are chipped away.” West Hollywood Mayor Sepi Shyne on Sunday signed a resolution pr...Dirt-racing star Bell outruns Reddick to win on Bristol dirt

Christopher Bell held on through a restart eight laps from the end to hold off Tyler Reddick and win the dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday night. Bell was a whiz-kid dirt racing sensation growing up and that experience helped the Joe Gibbs Racing driver to his fifth victory in the NASCAR Cup Series. “This place is so much fun, whether it’s dirt or concrete,” Bell said. Reddick was second for a second straight season, followed by Austin Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Chase Briscoe. Bell’s last challenge came after defending race winner Kyle Busch spun with 15 laps left. Bell took off on the restart and widened his lead over Reddick. Reddick, who won the second stage, was closing in on the last lap when the 16th and final caution came out, instantly ending the race and sending Bell’s team into hysterics. “Man, I just can’t get over how long those laps feel,” Bell said. Reddick also enjoyed the intensity down the stretch. “I thought I had a little b...Latest news
